Myself, and 3 friends, Evelyn, Mel and Loz went around New York for 5 days to see what we could see. Pizza restaurants are everywhere, the better ones had italians working for them and made their own thin crust, we had some good and no so good, and then we found a great place and went there everyday haha
The weather was so freezing cold, it was blowing snow everywhere and the wind felt like it was slapping your face, it was about -6 as we walked around losing feeling in our hands and faces.
The first day Mel and I went to Planet Hollywood to pick up my New York Pass, a 3 day pass that would get me into every attraction, most of them without waiting, for 100dollars, it was a pretty good deal. Planet Hollywood was in Times Square and it was insanely packed with cops everywhere, which I quite appreciated!
We then went to Century 21, where expensive brands are half price or so. There were good deals but to this poor student 100 dollar jeans are out, even if they were 200 before. We left there and went to Ground Zero aka the hole where twin towers used to be. People take 9/11 hugely seriously here, there is a museum dedicated to the site, and there are wreaths and photos hanging on a tree near the fire station.
